These are different times we are living in – and hence Ceda has decided to make its 2020 Christmas message a little different this year.
The trade body, which represents catering equipment dealers, designers and service firms, has published a video letter to the hospitality sector in a show of support ahead of 2021.
The video, which can be viewed HERE, is designed to offer inspiration and optimism on what has been a dismal year and invigorate some positivity for the New Year ahead.
Ceda director general, Adam Mason, said it was important for all parts of the supply chain to stand side by side.
“2020 has been a year of challenge, the likes of which most of us have never faced, professionally speaking. I want to praise the resilience, creativity and innovation that members and partners have demonstrated in supporting the operator sector at the most difficult times.”
Mr Mason said it was also right to recognise people – from the engineers and technicians that have kept construction sites and healthcare operators going throughout the pandemic to the project managers, designers, sales and administrative staff, and company owners that have overcome tremendous challenges.
He also paid tribute to furloughed employees that have used their time to invest in learning, education and personal development to make themselves better employees for the future.
“There are further weeks of challenge to come but we have an end in sight,” he said.
