Standex reduces prices on Skills Show combis

Standex has made a limited number of its new generation CombiKing ovens available for sale to further education organisations at what it calls “significantly discounted” prices.

The offer follows the company’s participation as a Senior Competition sponsor at the UK Skills’ Show, held in Birmingham last week.

As part of its sponsorship, the company supplied eleven 10 grid CombiKing ovens for use by competitors in the cooking category.

Further education organisations may purchase the CombiKing ovens provided for the show at an “agreed” educational establishment discount from the company’s list price.

Furthermore, eligible English organisations may apply for an additional support grant, from the Skills’ Funding Agency, towards the special show purchase price.

“The offer, together with the exceptional Skills’ Funding Agency support grant, provides qualifying further education establishments with a terrific opportunity to acquire the very latest in catering equipment technology at a fraction of our list price,” said Steve Loughton, managing director of Standex.

The company’s CombiKing electric ovens incorporate a digital controller, which allows operators to programme and save the necessary cooking phases for a wide range of recipes.

Each programme may include up to nine sequences, with parameters clearly displayed on the controller.

Earlier this week, refrigeration manufacturer Adande also confirmed it would sell ex-Skills Show models to further education customers at a 35% discount.
