Configure, price, quote platform AutoQuotes now has even more technical expertise and financial backing, after being acquired as part of a mass merger. The resulting formation of five software companies is called Revalize, and the new cloud-based platform is designed to empower manufacturers to elevate buying experiences, accelerate sales cycles and streamline manufacturing through purpose-built software. The company offers a full suite of specialised, mission-critical software solutions built to simplify customer processes and reduce friction throughout the revenue operations cycle.

Gelato and ice cream equipment manufacturer Carpigiani UK revealed a new focus on dealers after revamping its strategy, in a move that is seeing its ‘plug and play’ range of machines being sold through the UK channel. As well as hiring a dedicated dealer business development manager, the company is backing up its strategy with its installation team and supported by a development chef, who runs training and menu development sessions for new and existing customers. This new indirect sales policy is also aimed at taking Carpigiani into new business areas.

Belgium-based Culimat has this year extended the UK reach of the brands it represents. It signed a partnership with RH Hall to add Nemco Food Equipment’s manual food preparation equipment to the Bedfordshire-headquartered supplier’s Exclusive Brand portfolio. RH Hall is now Nemco’s preferred stocking partner for the UK. Furthermore, Culimat inked a deal with tableware specialist, Creative Retail Display, to stock, promote and supply Rosseto serving solutions to the UK and Irish foodservice markets. Culimat believes that having a strategic partner like Essex-headquartered Creative will allow the buffetware brand to reach a new customer base.

Warewasher manufacturer Granuldisk launched a new financing concept for the purchase of its products this year. The Swedish firm also offered finder’s fee incentives to dealers to sign up operator customers to the scheme. This lease-based all inclusive concept allows end users to use their warewashers in a more care-free manner, where everything from installation to consumables is included. Granuldisk also manages the risk of the purchase for distributors and uses a dedicated service partner to perform maintenance throughout the life of the contract.

Utopia Tableware

Online is an increasingly vital part of the sales process for Utopia and the recent enhancements to its website means distributors can now access 24 hour ordering and account information. Recently Utopia moved to a new 168,000ft2 warehousing and office facility at Langham Park near Chesterfield. This new facility enhances Utopia’s drive to improve its service to distributors by increasing speed of response, packaging integrity and accuracy of pick. The capacity of this warehouse is more than three times greater than Utopia’s older warehouse.

The winner will be announced at the gala ceremony on Thursday 18 November at London’s 8 Northumberland Avenue. Buy tickets to the event HERE.
