After studying the new needs of today’s distributor market, Charvet evolved its popular Pro 800 modular heavy duty cooking equipment series. One highlight of this is the new Pro 800 six burner range with a choice of large oven, open base, or bridge unit. Also new is the Pro 800 multizone electric induction range, on a GN2/1 oven. Combining four independent 3.5kW induction hobs set under a one-piece glass top, the hobs can be operated alone or ‘sequentially regulated’ to effectively re-create the flexible cooking power of a conventional gas or electric solid-top.

Falcon Foodservice Equipment

Falcon has taken the cooking equipment world by storm by launching the first range of hydrogen-powered appliances. The manufacturer worked for several years on the project, linking with Enertek International, the research and engineering consultants and hydrogen specialists. The line-up includes a new variant of the Dominator six burner G3101 range as well as chargrills, griddles, grills and fryers. The range of products is designed for on and off-grid use to support the UK government’s efforts to scale up low carbon hydrogen supply.

Refrigeration equipment specialist Hoshizaki really considered long term maintenance in the design of its latest Snowflake GII+ range. The unit’s new monoblock cooling system is a self-contained and insulated removable refrigeration configuration, and as this system sits on top of the unit as opposed to inside the unit, access for servicing is easy. Furthermore, the system is self-evaporating and fitted with a self-cleaning condenser, so the Snowflake GII+ does not require space for an evaporator, therefore the user can take full advantage of all internal storage space.

Meiko’s strong research and development pipeline has produced two notable additions in 2021: the UPster H 500 pass-through dishwasher and the bottle washing system. The warewasher has an optional space-saving AktivClean integrated water softening, ensuring fewer operator mistakes and removing the need for and cost of external softening apparatus. While the bottle wash adapter can turn Meiko M-iClean UM dishwashers into bottle washers by replaced the bottom wash arm. Specially designed nozzles spray the chemicals directly into the bottles, along with water, guaranteeing that the full power of the jet enters the bottle.

This year, QualityFry unveiled an automatic fryer that contains an integrated fire extinguishing system for added kitchen safety. This iQ 640 FES Carrousel model uses technology that is designed to detect a possible fire inside the frying chamber, control it and protect the operator. The frying chamber is built with a double layer of stainless steel that isolates the high temperatures inside. This technology allows frying in the absence of light, without oxygen, eliminating active particles and water from the oil, keeping it free of food remains and extending its useful life.

The winner will be announced at the gala ceremony on Thursday 18 November at London’s 8 Northumberland Avenue. Buy tickets to the event HERE.
