Unox declared yesterday that it has created the “most powerful” combi oven in its history as it unveiled the new X-Generation range to UK dealers and operators for the first time.
The company whipped off the covers of its new product series at Commercial Kitchen, telling dealers that the upgraded CHEFTOP-X and BAKERTOP-X ovens would “change the way that chefs interact with their combi oven for good”.
The Italian-based manufacturer considers this new generation of ovens to set a new standard in terms of both performance and user-machine interaction in a professional kitchen.
The products unveiled in London are the result of an extensive R&D project that has taken more than three years and combined the expertise of over 50 dedicated engineers, physicists, chemists and chefs.
Taking inspiration from the way that people interact with their smartphones, the latest ovens feature ‘Digital.ID’ for a fast, intuitive and fully customisable interface, complete with hyper-connectivity enhanced with artificial intelligence.
Both the CHEFTOP-X and BAKERTOP-X instinctively adapt to a kitchen’s preferences, asking for the operators’ feedback after each cooking process to improve and align cooking performance with expectations.
The ovens are equipped with state-of-the-art technology including HEY.Unox, meaning chefs can operate their ovens by voice.
The optional OPTIC.Cooking accessory, meanwhile, allows operators to simply place a tray into the chamber while letting the oven visually identify and start the correct program.
The technology in the oven can provide personalised suggestions to users on how to be greener while cooking, for example by warning if the door has been open for too long.
