Final sponsor position remains for 6 Nations Plus Challenge

Summer endurance event in Scotland that will bring together members of the catering equipment community is seeking a headline partner to front the initiative

A multi-stage endurance event that is aiming to unite the catering equipment industry in the interests of charity is seeking an overall sponsor to back the initiative.

The commercial framework for the 6 Nations Plus Challenge is now largely complete, with all three stage sponsorships secured, logistics confirmed and participant numbers capped.

But organisers are still looking for a ‘Major Sponsor’ to headline the event.

The event will take place across Scotland, concluding with a rally finish at The Kelpies in Falkirk.

The challenge will bring together senior figures from across the catering equipment and hospitality sectors in support of Maggie’s Centres.

Celltherm’s James Connolly, who is co-organising the event, said: “The level of response has been incredibly encouraging. This isn’t just individuals signing up. We’re seeing leadership teams step forward together.

“That says a lot about how seriously the industry is taking both the challenge and the cause. The Major Sponsor will sit at the front of something meaningful.”

Fellow organiser Greg Archer, from Contiquip, added: “Stage sponsors moved quickly because they understood both the scale of the event and the impact it can have.

“We now have an opportunity for one organisation to take the lead position and align themselves with an initiative that reflects resilience and leadership across the sector.”

Fund raised through the event will support Maggie’s Centres, which provide free practical and emotional support to people living with cancer and their families.

Across the UK, someone receives a cancer diagnosis every 90 seconds. Maggie’s Centres provide calm spaces alongside NHS hospitals, offering professional support at a time of significant uncertainty.
