The newly-named Epta UK has been celebrating the recent merger of its manufacturing and service arms at its Bradford headquarters.
The display refrigeration firm rewarded its staff with cupcakes to mark the move. Epta UK’s LinkedIn account posted: “We’d also like to say thank you to our staff for all of their hard work. We look forward to working together and securing a bright future for Epta UK Limited.”
The Milan-headquartered company consolidated Bradford-based cabinet manufacturing subsidiary, George Barker, with its Hampshire contracting and service and maintenance business, Cold Service, on 1 January.
Since then, the merged entity has operated under the name of Epta UK.
Established in 1928, George Barker was originally acquired by Epta in 1999. While Cold Service, a specialist in the design, installation and maintenance of turnkey refrigeration and air conditioning systems, was picked up by the Italian firm in 2014.
When the merger was announced, Epta stated: “Epta continue to demonstrate their commitment and dedication to the UK market, despite recent challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The announcement of a structural change that will allow Epta George Barker and Epta Cold Service to operate under one legal entity, Epta UK Limited, is a perfect example of this. This change is set to drive a strong future for Epta, aligning both organisations in all UK operations whilst reinforcing the identity of Epta UK.”
