Following the completion of previous sites for Mowgli Street Food, including Mowgli Oxford, C&C Catering Equipment has finished another project for the popular restaurant.
Offering fresh Indian home cooking, the new Cardiff-based location required facilities to match the high standards across the rest of the Mowgli portfolio.
With works taking place across the basement kitchen and ground floor bar to provide professional facilities to support the Indian food offerings, brands at the scheme and in these areas included Williams, Rational, Blue Seal, Bridge Catering Fabrications, Hoshizaki, Hobart, True, Interlevin and Global Fire Suppression.
Challenges on the scheme included somewhat constricted access to the kitchen, with a stair climber used to safely transport all the kitchen kit down the stairs in the basement area that was to house the cooking equipment.
Additionally, timescales on the scheme were tight and saw the kit installation start on 5 June, followed by completion and training completed by 19 June.
Project manager Andy Pace commented: “It’s been great to complete another install for Mowgli Street Food and to have been involved with this fantastic site.
“There were a few challenges on the scheme with regards to access and deadlines, but we overcame these with careful planning and communication. We look forward to seeing this site become another success for Mowgli as they continue their incredible growth, and hope to continue strengthening our relationship with the popular Indian street food restaurant.”
