The UK’s largest contract catering provider has appointed a new director to rubberstamp purchases of catering equipment and food for its group businesses.
WSH confirmed that Andy Milner has been brought in as its new procurement and supply chain director.
WSH owns BaxterStorey, Holroyd Howe, Caterlink, benugo and Portico, and Milner will manage an eight-strong team and a multimillion pound supplier portfolio.
As well as food procurement, Milner’s responsibilities include overseeing all the buying of kitchen and catering equipment.
Milner brings with him 11 years of purchasing experience in retail, e-commerce and business services. He previously served as head of group supply chain at Gondola Group and logistics manager for Pret a Manger.
He said: “WSH has a diverse operating model. This is underpinned by a purchasing strategy that recognises the individual demands of each client location, yet still delivers quality ingredients with the lowest environmental impact at a competitive price. I feel tremendously excited about working in such a dynamic business and look forward to driving purchasing best practice to support commercial growth.”
WSH said Milner is tasked with developing more strategic relationships with key suppliers, bringing its businesses closer together to enhance regional supply and identifying areas for improved efficiencies and working processes.
