WMF expands bean to cup offering

Uxbridge-based WMF has introduced the 5000S, its third new generation bean to cup coffee machine.

The 5000S has been designed to offer the performance level of a high throughput machine from a slimline body, coupled with claimed consistency, speed and ease of use.

Featuring a pump and a brewer, the unit has a capacity of up to 19g, normally used in larger capacity machines.

The WMF 5000S is 325mm wide with a wide ranging drinks capability. It is said to have a modern design and reduced noise levels for front of house location.

The touch screen interface, which doubles up as promotional space, means the appliance can be used for self service.

Other new features on the 5000S include ‘clean in place’, a HACCP compliant cleaning system which enables the cleaning of the milk foamer without the need to disassemble it or remove it from the machine, and the ‘dynamic milk system’. This automatically produces hot and cold milk and foam, including four consistencies of hot milk foam and three varieties of cold milk foam.

The 5000S also comes with a Steam Jet which can heat cups up to the correct temperature in seconds; locakable, dishwasher-proof bean hoppers and a timer function that can be used to turn the machine on and off as required.

The timer can also switch the machine to self service at designated times of the day and limit the availability of certain drinks and functions as required, as well as switching between drinks served with fresh milk to milk powder.
