Winterhalter mixes up new cleaning agent

Winterhalter has come out with an eco-friendly cleaning chemicals range that it claims won’t prove inferior compared with traditional products on the market.

In the past ‘eco’ chemicals have had a reputation for being second-class in terms of performance, but Winterhalter insists the ‘BLUe’ product line is formulated to deliver results that match or better conventional chemicals.

Peter Alsworth, Winterhalter’s chemical sales director, said the line makes use of fully biodegradable raw materials from renewable sources without compromising the washing results.

“The environmental impact of any kitchen product should be a key part of every buying decision, whether it’s a cooker, a warewasher or a cleaning agent,” he argues. “Our BLUe range makes it easier for catering businesses to switch to an eco-alternative, because the chemicals give brilliant results and are economically priced.”

Alsworth said the line also set a new standard in the use of use recycled and recyclable packaging.

Where traditional trigger spray flasks would include metal, non-recyclable compounds, Winterhalter has developed special plastic elements to ensure the bottle is fully recyclable.

Catering products within the BLUe range includes detergent, degreaser and sanitiser.
