Winner of sustainable equipment award unveiled


Foster’s EcoPro G2 has come out on top in the ‘Sustainable Catering Equipment Manufacturer’ category of the Footprints Awards.

EcoPro G2 is Foster’s most technically-advanced and energy efficienct model to date. The range features a more robust cabinet design than previous offerings, as well as new controllers, ventilation and insulation.

The company claims that independent laboratory tests show the cost to run an Eco Pro G2 EP700H annually is just £65.30.

Foster was shortlisted in the category alongside Exclusive Ranges, Jestic, Rendisk and Victor Manufacturing.

Victor was named as the runner-up for its Optimax refrigerated retail merchandising units.

The units maintain core product temperatures in pre-chilled foods held at 5°C in ambient temperatures up to 27°C.

The judging panel for the category reviewed design, materials, life-cycle, proof of efficiency and operational track record before making their decisions.
