Distributor and commercial kitchen designer Whitco has expanded its sales team with two new appointments – Amanda McGreavy and Mike Weatherley.
McGreavy has 15 years of experience in the commercial kitchen equipment industry, which extends all the way from design to supply.
Over the past eight years she has specialised in the garden centre catering sector with projects ranging from small schemes and refurbishments to full turnkey projects either working direct with the client or building contractors. Prior to joining Whitco, she led Horti Caterig, the garden centre-focused division of Chesterfield-based Catering Projects.
Now McGreavy is looking to re-establish her contacts in the leisure industry, hotel and restaurant market as well adding to Whitco’s already comprehensive list of clients in MOD, education and healthcare.
Weatherley in his turn brings a wealth of experience spanning more than 30 years during which time he has worked for both manufacturers and catering equipment suppliers building an extensive product and operator knowledge.
He will also add value to the Northamptonshire-based outfit’s in-house project design team with his excellent kitchen design skills and has already added new equipment to WhitCo’s supplier portfolio. Weatherly joins the firm from Peterborough-based Catering Equipment Solutions and also spent a number of years at Middleby.
The new signings add fresh regional contacts to Lincolnshire, Nottingham, Yorkshire and Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex as well as caring for some of WhitCo’s national contracts.
The installation team has also gained a new team member in Michael Dallimore, a fully qualified engineer who has made an excellent start with Whitco, contributing to the successful installation of school catering projects that were planned during the summer holiday.
The company said it is looking to expand further by adding additional engineering, project management and customer service administration resources.
