Andover-based Blue Badger Wholesale recently took part in a review meeting with one of the manufacturing brands it supplies, Whirlpool Professional.
The brand was reportedly pleased with the supplier’s sales efforts and so presented its team with a number of key awards.
Sales Person of the Year was awarded to Blue Badger senior account manager Tom Phillips. As well as leading the wholesaler’s sales team, Phillips’ region also topped the leaderboard in terms of Whirlpool sales. The manufacturer felt that his support to both the team and his distributors meant he was a well-deserved winner of the top accolade.
Most Improved Sales Person was presented to Luke Trebert, account manager, who won in recognition of the YOY sales increase that has been achieved in his region. Whirlpool believes this reflects the work he has done in educating his distributors in the margin potential that the brand represents.
Brand Ambassador went to James Kent in recognition of the marketing support he has been carrying out for Whirlpool. Catia Straus of Whirlpool’s marketing team believes he has demonstrated great understanding of the brand requirements and that he delivered “exactly what we are looking for in terms of having all our communications aligned”.
Whirlpool Professional business development manager Matt Webb said: “I was delighted to be able to acknowledge the hard work that has gone into 2018 by the whole of the Blue Badger team as well as the three individuals highlighted. Whirlpool and Blue Badger will continue our successful partnership in 2019 with exciting new product launches as well as further development of existing products to increase our market share.”
Blue Badger MD Mark Alexander added: “Our partnership with Whirlpool Professional continues to develop each year. We are receiving great feedback within the trade on the recently launched Omnia laundry. The range is proving a very popular upsell as more and more catering equipment dealers embrace the opportunities that supplying laundry equipment can offer.”
