Wexiodisk waxes lyrical over warewash design

Wexiodisk has played its first card since re-focusing its efforts on the UK market by releasing what it calls a “super efficient” hood-type dishwasher.

The WD-6 Duplus utilises a remarkably low one litre of fresh water per cycle, making up to four times less than “other leading models”, according to the company.

Wexiodisk claims this is possible by a patented double-final rinse system which is more economical than traditional final rinse systems.

Simon Frost, UK country manager for Wexiodisk, says the WD-6 Duplus includes built in autostart and automatic hood operation, which senses when a basket is placed onto the rack before closing the hood and commencing the cycle.

“Once complete, the hood lifts to allow the drying process to begin immediately, eliminating the chance of watermarks and smears on crockery and cutlery,” he said. “In addition to the automatic functions, care has also been taken to improve working conditions. A unique forward tilting hood, allows for the unwanted steam to be dissipated towards the rear of the equipment rather than into the face of the operator.”

The WD-6 Duplus operates a HACCP monitoring function to ensure the washing process consistently remains at its best.
