Today’s GulfHost show marks the first unveiling of the Welbilt Garland Xpress Grill in the Middle East.

Welbilt is at GulfHost from today until Wednesday, the first time the manufacturer has exhibiting in the Middle East as a standalone foodservice company.

To highlights the focus on this key region for the business, the company will be hosting the regional launch of its Garland brand Xpress Grill on stand S1-A10 of the Sheikh Saeed Hall at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Visitors to the stand will be able to see the two-sided cooking in action, with the appliance featuring upper and lower grill plates which are able to cook both sides of the food simultaneously – all with the press of a button. Cook times are claimed to be reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional flat grills.

In addition to this the unit is said to increase energy efficiency by to 20% compared to previous models thanks to each grill lane being independently operated at its own unique set temperature.

There will also be a dedicated area on stand where Welbilt’s development chefs will be hosting live cooking demonstrations on Convotherm, Merrychef and Garland brand equipment.

The Merrychef eikon e2s accelerated cooker and the Convotherm 4 combi oven will also be available for show visitors to see.
