Welbilt UK has restructured its sales organisation in order to provide what it feels is an even greater level of service to its UK dealer network as well as key account customers/end users.
With a focus on providing better solutions from well-known Welbilt brands such as Convotherm, Merrychef, Frymaster and Garland Induction the revised structure is aimed at equipping the company to be better prepared for new launches in coming years.
Key changes include the appointment of Alistair Farquhar as channel manager UK for distribution and specifications, Paul Patel as Convotherm business development manager, while sales director UK and Ireland, Steve Hemsil will take on further responsibility in overseeing the main customer’s touch points including the customer service and marketing teams as well as managing the sales and culinary teams, as per his existing role.
Hemsil commented: “By having a single point of responsibility to oversee the key elements of our interaction with the customer within our business, we will very quickly be able to identify the areas for optimisation by further strengthening our approach and relationships in already strong sectors.
“We want to work with all our customers to have a more focused strategy to gain specifications for Welbilt products with more of an emphasis on our Convotherm brand. We will also continue to provide customers with the best-in-class level of service.”
Farquhar, who joined Welbilt from Ambach last year, will be supporting and managing the UK regional sales managers in aiding dealers to win new business while continuing to focus on getting Welbilt brands and products specified within the foodservice design community.
While Patel, who has been with the business for over 10 years, has a culinary background and sales and business development knowledge, and will be devising strategies focusing specifically on the Convotherm combi oven brand to grow sales in a competitive market.
