Welbilt UK and Donegal Hygiene & Catering will be showcasing the latest compact equipment developments on stand A29 at IFEX on 24-26 March at the Titanic Exhibition Centre, Belfast.
Through this, the catering equipment manufacturer and Northern Irish dealer will in turn demonstrate how operators can make the most of restricted of front of house/kitchen spaces by investing in three of Welbilt’s latest compact models – Merrychef eikon e1s, Convotherm Mini and Crem Unity 1+ – which together, offer a compact solution.
Fitting on a 50cm (19.7”) worktop and no need for side installation space, the Merrychef eikon can allow independent operators to expand their hot food menus and adapt to changing customer and business needs, along with evolving menus and hot food trends.
Filling the gap in the market for an entry-level high-speed oven, the eikon e1s combines three heat technologies: convection, tuned impingement and microwave, which should allow for cooking times up to 10x faster than conventional ovens.
As well as a necessity for speedy catering units, most modern set-ups will also heavily rely cooking on units that allow a caterer to cook various types of food within one unit, hence why Welbilt will be showcasing its next generation of Convotherm Mini combi ovens.
Contained within a small footprint of 51.5cm, the Convotherm Mini is designed to deliver cooking results, low energy consumption and a functional design alongside its ability to roast, steam, bake and regenerate; as well as grill and even cook products that would normally require frying – whilst fitting onto a standard worktop.
The third unit that Welbilt will be demonstrating as part of its compact concept is the Crem Unity 1+.
Uniting filter and espresso brewing capabilities with a fresh milk foaming system, the fully-automatic coffee machine is an option for operators that are looking to offer barista-quality coffees with ease.
Visitors to stand A29 will also be able to sample hot food, courtesy of the Welbilt culinary team, who will be highlighting how to cook a range of grab-and-go items in both Convotherm combi ovens and Merrychef high speed ovens. All this can be washed down with coffees that have been made via Crem’s brand new espresso machine, the EX3, seen for the very first time in Northern Ireland.
Featuring tested, customisable technologies which have specifically been developed for in cup quality, the Crem EX3 is a solution for operators that want to offer coffee aesthetically. Users can customise the colour, finish and lighting of the EX3 so that it matches the interior of their venue and brand.
Also committed to keeping its exhibition stand as green as possible, Welbilt UK will be serving food and drink samples in biodegradable plates and cups.
