Oil filtration specialist Vito is increasing the availability of its products to the trade after signing a wholesale agreement with RB Distributors.
The deal means that distributors sourcing catering equipment through RB – which is currently in the process of being rebranded to Uropa Distribution – will be able to get hold of the Vito 30, 50 and 80 models, as well as filter papers.
Kim Addison, sales and marketing manager at Vito, said that as well as attractive margins, Vito could now offer distributors access to its full sales collateral, including training and maintenance videos and risk assessment and HACCP guides.
“This partnership means that dealers now have access to our products and videos, and can buy through RBD with confidence as they would with any other product they currently buy,” she told Catering Insight.
Vito previously regarded live product demonstrations as an essential part of the sales process and therefore took on the responsibility for these itself.
But Addison said that investments it has made in demo videos and training tools meant that, with the exception of national accounts which command a more hands-on approach, this was no longer the case, allowing dealers to be able to sell the equipment without the cost of having to go to site.
“The product is getting more exposure now and with the introduction of our demonstration video and training and maintenance video there is no need to visit each site,” she concluded.
