Vision’s Jack Sharkey: ‘CSR is something a business has to live and breathe’

Vision boss Jack Sharkey thinks that Corporate Social Responsibility is something a business “has to live and breathe” if it is to make the biggest impact.

He was speaking after Vision recently won the Distributor of the Year for CSR award at Kitchen & Equipment Awards Week.

The category was sponsored by DC Warewashing & Icemaking Systems and this week its director, Bob Wood, made a virtual trophy presentation to Mr Sharkey following the win.

Mr Sharkey said: “It is hugely gratifying and there is no better testament to a business than to be recognised by its customers, peers and competitors. So yes it means a lot to receive that recognition by our industries executives who all know how hard it is to maintain corporate social responsibility.

“It is not something you just sign up for, the business has to live and breathe CSR  through its staff, its systems, its process and its culture. It is the staff that really make all of that happen and continue to happen within the Vision family.”
