The team at Vision Commercial Kitchens will be taking part in several events in 2019 in order to raise money for its chosen charity of the year – The Christie Charitable Fund.
The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, treating more than 44,000 patients a year. Based in Manchester, it is expert in cancer care, research and education and has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years.
Vision’s fundraising events begin in April where the team will take part in Gung Ho – the world’s biggest inflatable 5K run. The next event on the calendar is Rough Runner which takes place in June, where the team will face another 5K run, this time with TV game show-inspired obstacles. The final event booked so far is Tough Mudder in September – a further 5K of muddy challenges and obstacles.
The distributor will be thinking up more fundraising ideas to raise money for The Christie Charitable Fund throughout the year. The team already collected over £1,000 in the first week of fundraising.
Vision met with Steph Bryant, corporate fundraising coordinator at The Christie Charitable Fund to discuss more ideas to raise vital funds for the charity. She said: “We are absolutely delighted that Vision Commercial Kitchens has chosen to support The Christie over the next 12 months – Team Vision have an exciting calendar of fundraising activities in the pipeline and we are really looking forward to working with them.”
The charity’s vital work would not be possible without the generosity of others and neither would the lifesaving hope it provides to their patients and their families. Therefore to support Team Vision in its fundraising efforts click here.
