Vision Commercial Kitchens’ joint MD, Craig Forrester, is retiring from the catering industry. His last official day will be Friday 21 December 2018.
Forrester has held various senior roles within different industries since the 1980s in the areas of finance, HR, IT and logistics.
He has been working in the commercial kitchen industry since 2000 and is one of Vision’s four founding directors. He has helped to grow Vision into a major distributor and in his time has seen the firm carry out numerous prestigious projects and achieve a myriad of awards.
Forrester leaves the company in a great position, after achieving its best year yet with a turnover of £12m.
He commented: “It’s been an incredible 16 years since we started the company in 2002 and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. Success is all about people and I have been very lucky to work with some of the best, both within Vision and in the industry in general.
“I’m looking forward to seeing continued success for Vision and also looking forward to spending more time with family; especially my first grandchild Leo – born in November, friends and on the golf course.”
Vision has since appointed Jarrod Ashton as finance and operations director, who joined the team in October. He is working with the existing management team to take over Forrester’s role.
Ashton has many years of experience, both in finance and operations, having spent the last 8 years working in the healthcare service industry and having over 25 years manufacturing experience (including 20 years within the food industry).
MD Jack Sharkey commented: “Craig has been a great asset to the business and a great colleague to work alongside for all these years. He will be greatly missed and we give him all our best wishes for a long and happy retirement. We welcome Jarrod to the team and we are sure he will be a great asset.”
