Vision confirms involvement in specialist show


Vision Commercial Kitchens has confirmed that it will again sponsor the Food & Catering Zone at this year’s Glee exhibition in Birmingham.

The show, which aims to bring new solutions to the garden centre market, introduced a dedicated catering area to the event for the first time last year.

This year the zone has been expanded to comprise a walk-through case study gallery, which will pinpoint the trends and tastes that matter to today’s shoppers for garden retailers to apply to their own locations.

A second area will offer hands-on daily workshop sessions, while a third section will give tips on how garden retailers can enhance their catering presentation techniques.

Garden centres have become an important client base for Lancashire-based Vision and Jack Sharkey, the company’s managing director, said it made sense to sign up as the show’s catering zone sponsor for the second year running.

“Glee’s aim, like ours, is to arm garden retailers with every tool and technique they need to meet the growing demand for on-site food and refreshments,” he said. “Our galleries, workshops and cooking demonstrations will offer a chance to learn from best practice in a range of sectors, to meet the experts and to explore the latest trends.”

Glee takes place September 15-17 at the Birmingham NEC.
