Lancashire-based Vision Commercial Kitchens’ ‘Team Vision’ has taken part in a series of races over the past year that has raised more than £4,000 for The Christie Charitable Fund.
Events in April, June and September, including Tough Mudder and the world’s biggest inflatable 5k run, took ‘Team Vision’ past its fundraising goal.
The team also asked The Christie mascot the Christie Bear to join it at a UK trade show.
The money raised will help The Christie’s mission to “provide enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds” and “make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to our patients and their families.”
Steph Bryant from The Christie charity said: “The team at Vision Commercial Kitchens has put in lots of hard work this year to raise funds and benefit the lives of our patients at The Christie.
“We can’t thank them enough for their efforts in getting everyone involved through events like Tough Mudder, Gung-Ho! and Rough Runner.
“The staff have a fantastic level of enthusiasm for the cause, going above and beyond to support and raise awareness between colleagues, family, friends and even their clients and suppliers in their industry. Thank you to Team Vision for the amazing support.”
