Vision cleans up De Vere’s dishwash facilities


Vision Commercial Kitchens has carried out a refurbishment of the dishwash operations at the De Vere Hotel in Coventry.

The distributor’s key account manager, Tony Donaghy, said the existing machines had only been in five years but hadn’t lasted the course, so had been replaced with kit from Meiko.

He said Meiko was able to offer a one-stop shop for both distributor and customer. “I know their regional sales manager well and the back-up and support from Meiko is excellent,” he commented.

Peter Daggett, group technical manager for De Vere Hotels & Village Urban Resorts, said Meiko’s warranty and service offer had prompted it to work with the brand.

“I was also comforted by the fact that Meiko operated with a directly-employed service workforce rather than through third party contractors and that our various properties could speak to the Meiko in-house service department call centre seven days a week,” he said.

The new dishwash facilities feature the manufacturer’s K-Tronic rack transport machines.

At the same time as the Coventry fit-out, De Vere also took receipt of the same equipment at its Blackpool hotel, with that project handled by Airedale Catering Equipment.
