This year ‘Team Vision’ are coming together and taking part in several events in order to raise money for its chosen charity of the year – The Christie Charity.

Vision Commercial Kitchens’ staff completed their latest challenge, Rough Runner, in June. The team faced a 5k run with TV game show-inspired obstacles.

They completed the challenging course despite the horrendous weather on the day and have now surpassed their fundraising target of £3,000.

This follows the first event, the Gung Ho inflatable 5k run, in April, while the next race will be Tough Mudder in September – a further 5k of muddy challenges and obstacles.

The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, treating more than 44,000 patients a year. Based in Manchester, it is expert in cancer care, research and education and has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years.

The charity has ambitious plans for the future; however, its vital work would not be possible without the generosity of others and neither would the lifesaving hope it provides to their patients and their families.

Steph Bryant from The Christie Charity said: “Team Vision are doing a fantastic job with their fundraising, exceeding their £3,000 target with more events to come later in the year. We really appreciate all the hard work that the team are putting in to raise vital funds for The Christie and benefit the lives of our patients and their families. Thank you to all involved.”
