Viessmann’s Steve Steadman has left the business to become the new CEO of Capital Cooling.
Steadman will join the Edinburgh-based supplier as CEO of UK and Ireland from the start of November.
The company is hoping Steadman’s commercial business and industry knowledge will complement its recently refreshed management board.
With over 30 years of experience working for large companies such as Sainsbury’s, where he was responsible for the development of capital equipment and refrigeration, Steadman has also successfully run his own businesses within the retail shop fitting and commercial refrigeration sector.
Steadman was managing director for the UK arm of Viessmann after accepting the role in January 2015.
Steadman said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Capital Cooling at such an exciting time and from November I will be developing ambitious plans to reinvigorate the company, leading it into new market sectors.”
He added: “Capital Cooling has been through an extraordinarily rapid transformation recently and I am looking forward to this exciting challenge of driving growth and working closely with the team to carve out our next chapter.”
Capital Cooling was founded in 1996 and has established itself in the hospitality and foodservice sectors.
It hopes its current market position will set Steadman up to open new channels of distribution for the refrigeration supplier which specialises in the design and manufacture of both bespoke and off-the-shelf multidecks, display chillers and freezers, bar refrigeration and coldrooms.
Capital Cooling’s chairman, Gavin Williamson, said: “Having Steve on board is a great addition for Capital Cooling, providing leadership and ambition for the company during this time of extensive investment to the business. I am positive his wealth of experience will help us grow our market share and product range.”
