Ventilation cleaning firm System Hygienics has been taken over by Mark Poultney, who has made a career in taking similar businesses and achieving growth successfully for over 20 years.

Established in 1993, the company specialises in ductwork, fire damper testing, ventilation and high riser cleaning. Formerly the service arm of the duct manufacturer and installer Hotchkiss group, System Hygienics has new ownership, a new-look senior management team and a new focus when it comes to direction, vision and processes.

New owner Poultney is now the company’s MD, while experienced Giles Woolley remains as chairman.

The recent changes have resulted in a company-wide rebrand, while the senior management team plans to exceed growth by 50% over the next 3 years.

System Hygienics has accordingly updated its website, and the company has already installed a real-time IT service management package which should allows closer control of engineers’ time and costs and gives building managers and owners access to weekly reports and compliance certification as they need it.

Poultney said: “The new website represents the icing on the cake for what has been a year of positive forward steps for System Hygienics. Already respected for our knowledge and technical capability, we are now on a very exciting growth plan to become the nationwide company of choice for ventilation maintenance and hygiene.

“Our focus remains 100% on providing our clients with exactly what they need to meet their own regulatory compliance, offering a total solution across the whole of the UK which includes inspection, cleaning and certification without the need to go to third parties.”
