Valera makes a beeline for dealers with B-Line

Thurrock distributor Valera has ramped up its refrigeration offering by introducing a new B-Line range of eco-friendly kit to its portfolio.

The new energy saving upright chillers bolsters an offering that includes a wide range of refrigeration lines.

Valera claims the B-Line will have a higher specification than rival products without being overly priced. It says the units are “aesthetically pleasing” and feature curved corners for ease of cleaning.

The B-line range features single and double door chillers and freezers, worktable counter chillers and freezers and saladette models — with solid tops, built in sections for 1/6GN pans and a model with a moveable polypropylene cutting area.

Valera started out as a Sanyo microwave oven distributor two decades ago and still remains strong in that segment, recently striking a commercial microwave distribution agreement with Daewoo.

However, Valera boss Pratap Gadhvi told Catering Insight last month that refrigeration has grown to represent the bulk of its offering.

“Product-wise we have gone from microwave ovens to glass and dishwashers, induction hobs, ice-makers, refrigeration, food mixers and fat free fryers,” he said. “The product mix at the moment is 60% refrigeration followed by microwave ovens, which are very strong in the portfolio.”
