Valera curries favour at Al-Qasr


A right royal welcome awaits customers at Al-Qasr, one of the latest restaurants to be kitted out by Valera.

Al-Qasr is the Arabic word for a fort, castle or palace and at the Al-Qasr restaurant in London’s Ilford customers can certainly dine like a king on authentic Pakistani and Indian cuisine.

The popular daily buffet features over 35 dishes, while the regular menu, with its range of tikka dishes and specialities such as Nihari, a south Asian lamb shanks stew, and Spicy Karahi chicken served on the bone, provides something for all the family.

There’s even a burger section serving a Peri Peri Chicken burger beside the more traditional beef variety, plus a steak selection for the slightly less adventurous.

Valera, through distributor Andy Catering, designed the entire Al-Qasr kitchen and cold room, providing the stainless steel counters as well as the refrigeration, the charcoal grill that is constantly in use, the Fagor fryers, stock pots and dishwasher, right down to the microwaves and juice dispenser. That surely makes Valera flavour of the month.
