Meiko UK Limited is a leading supplier of commercial glass and dish washing machines and systems to the UK catering industry with a customer base ranging from hotel and restaurant chains, pub groups and leading high street department stores through to hospitals, airlines, rail and ferry operators and a host of others. It is currently looking to fill the following position:
Estimator, circa £30,000 plus benefits and bonus. 37.5 hours per week (08.30-17.00)
Based at the company’s Slough UK head office, you will be working alongside a team of dedicated and enthusiastic people who have been with the company for many years and whose contribution has enabled Meiko to achieve unprecedented growth rates during the past few years.
Working closely with the sales office manager and project manager you will be assisting in the preparation and pricing of warewashing system quotations, initial project planning and preparation of system layouts for Meiko’s CAD department, tender evaluation, dealing with pricing and general technical enquiries from customers, from its national network of catering equipment distributors and kitchen design consultants plus supporting the firm’s external sales team.
A strong command of spoken and written English along with good mathematical skills is necessary for this position. A good working level knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is required and in particular intermediate Excel and Word. You will have had previous experience within a commercial estimating department environment, preferably within M&E and a working knowledge of water/waste/electrics would be an advantage.
