National Facilities Management is looking for an experienced sales executive to be its new business development manager (BDM), ideally from a similar organisation to itself.
It deals with the design, supply and installation of commercial catering kitchens for hotels, pubs, restaurants etc. This is in addition to dealing with a very broad range of facilities management disciplines, for reactive and PPM.
It offers its clients access to its in house helpdesk, which they can call with emergency breakdown and reactive work 24 hours a day 365 days a year. It makes long term relationships with its clients and it expects its BDMs to maintain close relationships with them, discovering more ways in which the company can support them as time goes on.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in the sales, account management or project management of commercial catering kitchens, facilities management or an industry selling to similar clients.
Design experience would be a bonus, but National Facilities Management is willing to teach the right candidate.
Experience of selling commercial catering equipment (ovens, refrigeration, extract etc.) would be a distinct bonus!
While we do have incoming leads to our business, this role is specifically to bring in NEW business, and the candidate MUST be capable of generating business themselves without being guided. Its target businesses are restaurants, pubs and hotels with between 2 and 400 locations.
The candidate can be based in any area between its Wiltshire office and London (down to the coast and up the same distance).
They MUST be willing to travel into its Warminster office DAILY during their induction period, and every week for the sales meeting thereafter. The role is very autonomous, so they must be capable of working alone and getting the work done.
Its sales staff do not have a “patch” to cover, they are able to target any area, assuming that they are willing to travel to that area to deal with the client on an ongoing basis. As most of its clients are chains, its sales team do tend to spent at least 2 days a week in London.
National Facilities Management is willing to pay a basic salary of up to £40k (but have excellent sales staff on less, so this very much depends on the right person being found!) plus commission.
