Utensils Direct has replaced the kitchen at Brighton’s award-winning Terre à Terre vegetarian restaurant after it was ravaged by fire just before Christmas.
The Worthing-based distributor was forced to take out the existing kitchen, which can serve 110 covers at a time, after smoke and fire damage put it out of action.
Water, waste, gas and electrics all had to be disconnected and replaced, while new walls, floors and a ceiling had to be installed. New extraction and fresh air systems also had to be put in place.
John Baxter, managing director of Utensils Direct, carried out a full site survey and managed the kitchen refurbishment, including the installation of new kit.
One item of new equipment was a PD1300A passthrough dishwasher from DC Products. “I chose DC Products because I have always found their catering equipment to be reliable and perfect for my customers needs,” said Baxter.
Terre à Terre opens for business again from today.
