AutoQuotes is set to expand its design solutions in the UK with the addition of an integration compatible with Autodesk® Revit® and boasting the inclusion of a Parameter Tool, functionality unique to AQ.
Set to be launched before the end of the year, the AQ Designer Plug-In for Autodesk® Revit® will offer the same seamless connection and time-saving benefits as the current AQD Plug-In for CAD, allowing users to automatically populate commercial kitchen drawings using hundreds of thousands of CAD objects and Revit families accessible in AQ. Users can also import Revit drawings into the AQ platform as a project and AQ will work to match the imported products to what is published in AQ to accommodate different workflows.
The Plug-In also contains powerful family editing capabilities through the Parameter Tool, including functionality unique to AQ that allows the addition, merging and deletion of parameters all from within the project environment. Additionally, the Parameter Tool filtering allows users to customise which information is to be edited by category, family, type and parameter, making edits quickly and easily in even the largest of projects. Offering a tremendous amount of flexibility, users can work from their firm’s shared parameter file, AQ’s standard file, or use the Parameter Tool to build a new custom file.
Rob Gibson, Managing Director at AutoQuotes UK, said: “The AQ Designer Plug-In for Revit is a key addition to our design solutions as the use of Revit continues to expand in our market. The Plug-In is invaluable to all foodservice professionals working in kitchen design – not just experienced designers. Those who are newly working in Revit will find that the guidance AQ provides will boost their ability to create baseline projects for their customers.”
AQ also plans to launch an update of its AQ Design Solutions suite before the end of the year, which includes several feature enhancements and is compatible with AutoDesk 2020. AQD 2020 and Revit Plug-In are supported by the industry’s most comprehensive product catalogue, allowing users to seamlessly combine their current CAD and Revit functionality with AQ’s extensive project and product information.
