Unox UK reports it has enjoyed a good year so far as the company has continued to grow solidly and further establish itself as a leading combi oven brand.

To maintain high service levels for distributors and end users, the manufacturer has recently taken on three new members of staff. Mike Carter is now the active marketing chef for the east southern region, Janet Ayres has joined the in-house service support team and Clive Mason has joined the warehouse team.

Carter has a wealth of experience in the industry having carried out his apprenticeship at the Savoy Group, later working at Baxter & Platts and also carrying out product development at both Nestlé and Master Foods. In more recent times he has worked on recipe development for Compass Group and also spent some time with another leading combi brand.

He stated: “This is such a diverse and fast changing industry which is why I’m delighted to be part of Unox UK which has market leading equipment, supported with great people with great ideas and the most innovative manufacturing base in Italy I’ve seen, which suggests we will stay reassuringly ahead of the game for years to come.”

Cater’s role as active marketing chef will involve supporting dealers and end users in the south, working closely with chefs to carry out product demonstrations, full training and helping with menu recipe development.

Ayres brings her experience in service support to the Unox UK team, having worked for a number of years in a similar role at Clearwater. The manufacturer says after-sales support is important for it to give customers peace of mind and the security of having technical issues dealt with in a professional and timely manner.

Mason has joined the warehouse team as a response to the increased sales nationwide of the top of the range Cheftop and Bakertop Mind.Maps combi ovens. Having previously worked for Brakes for over 10 years, he has the skills and knowledge to work in the busy warehouse.

Unox UK MD Gary Nunn commented: “2017 is set to be another great year for Unox UK as the brand continues to go from strength to strength. We are delighted to welcome Mike, Janet and Clive to the team, each bringing their own expertise, enthusiasm and new and positive ideas to their roles.

“Unox as a company worldwide is constantly evolving and creating new technologies and products to remain at the very forefront of innovation in the foodservice industry. In the UK, our team is growing accordingly as we take on more sales and technical staff to continue to provide the very highest levels of customer service. It is a very exciting time for the company.”
