A UK company established four years ago to hand build brick wood fired ovens has won the endorsement of famous Michelin starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.
The French culinary star has selected a commercial wood fired oven by The Stone Bake Oven Company for installation in his Cookery School in Hertfordshire.
The academy is now offering wood fired cooking courses using the Hampshire-based firm’s range of professional stone ovens, enabling both professional and amateur chefs to learn how to cook in a wood fired oven.
Tom Gozney, director of The Stone Bake Oven Company, said that while cooking in a wood oven is an age-old technique, it has recently experienced an international revival.
“The culinary options are endless when using a wood fired pizza oven” he said. “You can cook virtually any dish in a wood fired oven, with the additional flavours only wood fired cooking can bring.”
The Stone Bake Oven Company kiln dries its ovens before dispatch, meaning they arrive ready to use. It also sells a range of indoor and outdoor pizza ovens.
Each Stone Bake Oven is manufactured in the UK, from responsibly sourced, high grade materials, according to the company.
