Meiko is set to announce next week that its entry-level ECO series warewashing machines will come with two-year warranties.
The extended cover will become standard across all undercounter and hood-type dishwashers and glasswashers in the ECO range.
Meiko said the move demonstrated its “total confidence” in the equipment and would deliver additional value to buyers.
Bill Downie, Meiko’s managing director, confirmed the new warranty would officially be launched at Hotelympia and predicted visitors would find it provides them with the best value for money.
“Hotelympia provides the ideal opportunity for visitors to compare not only the prices offered by other comparable German manufacturers on their market entry level machines, but also allows them to satisfy themselves that they are purchasing products with added value,” he said.
Downie said the ECO series now contains standard features and accessories that rival manufacturers currently deem to be optional. He claimed that the only option Meiko now offers on the entire ECO series machines is a stand for the undercounter models that raises the door to waist level when opened.
At Hotelympia next week, Meiko will also introduce a three-year ‘No-Bills’ guarantee with the ECO series machines. Up to now, that offer has only been available with the Premium series machines.
Downie said the move reinforced its confidence in the build quality of the ECO series.
“We can now offer our customers a genuine three-year No-Bills option that guarantees users of our products will not have to put their hands in their pockets for unplanned or non-budgeted breakdown support, spare parts or planned maintenance visits during the three-year period, and that is a pledge that I am delighted to put my name to,” he said.
Meiko’s Hotelympia plans also involve giving away a M-iClean UM-GiO undercounter glasswashing machine every day during Hotelympia.
Visitors can enter the free prize draw by leaving their business card at stand 2241. The winner will be drawn at 4pm every day.
