True tackles dirt dilemma to avert breakdowns

True Refrigeration has moved to tackle the issue of dirt build-up on condensers by designing reversing fan motors into its TGU series.

The manufacturer says that the accumulation of dirt on condensers is a common issue in some kitchens, particularly if a regular maintenance programme is not in place, and this can potentially lead to eventual compressor failure.

True has built the reversing fan motors into its TGU series, which includes undercounter refrigeration and freezer units.

The fan motors reverse during normal operation, helping to keep the condenser coil free from dirt, dust and debris and therefore prolonging the lifetime of the compressor.

True notes that it is important to keep coils clean in order to optimise a refrigeration unit’s performance by ensuring correct holding temperatures.
