True reveals unattended micromarket solution

TrueGo is a self-contained refrigerated retail outlet.

True Refrigeration used the Host trade show to unveil a micromarket food-to-go solution it developed with 365 Retail Markets.

Within its stand in the Fieramilano, the manufacturer showcased various foodservice concepts, one of which was an ‘at work’ area modelled after a modern office setting. With many smaller offices turning to solutions such as micromarkets to tempt staff away from home-working, True unveiled a new standalone unattended retail solution called TrueGo at the show.

The glass door merchandiser features a door-mounted product scanning and payment tablet using technology from 365 Retail Markets, which replaces the need for a ‘kiosk’ terminal found in many micromarkets.

Users simply wave their contactless payment card over the tablet to unlock the door, then choose their food to go and scan these packages to purchase them.

As a result, TrueGo is completely self-contained and can be placed closer to staff working areas, or distributed across different floors of an office or hotel. The solution is also scalable, as multiple machines can be placed side-by-side to cater to larger numbers.

The manufacturer’s Host stand also housed an example of a micro kitchen concept within a food truck, the latest in HC prep table technology and display solution options for food to go, and the soon to be launched two-section TGN-2 upright cabinet.
