There are 50 spaces available for catering equipment industry representatives on Mental Health First Aid England’s Mental Health Aware course over the next few weeks.

Together We Will, the industry’s new social enterprise, is continuing to focus on health and wellbeing training and education.

The initiative has partnered with Mental Health First Aid England and secured an initial 50 spaces on its half-day, online course ‘Mental Health Aware’.

The course will be held on two dates, with 25 delegates per course, and will be open to anyone in the industry, no matter their affiliation.

The first two courses will be run between 9.30am-1:30pm on 27 July and 3 August on Zoom.

The learning objectives that the course will deliver are: an understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma; a basic knowledge of some common mental health issues; an introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing; and confidence to offer support to someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

Together We Will has negotiated a price of £90 plus VAT per person, but if this cost is prohibitive it is encouraging prospective delegates to contact its team.

The organisation feels this training is just a starting point and it will secure further courses according to demand. Its ambition is to have at least one person in every organisation in the UK catering equipment industry undertake training.

If you would like to book a place, email with your preferred date.
