Three is the magic number for Taylor’s new grill

Taylor UK has introduced the L810 triple platen clamshell grill, with three independently-controlled cooking zones.

It is designed to offer grilling versatility for cooking multiple dishes on the same appliance with precisely controlled cooking times and temperatures.

An automatic gapping system is designed to provide reliable, consistent output. This uses a three-point reference plane and a fixed home reference point. This software automatically locks the upper platen into an accurate position, with a precise gap maintained with the grill. The size of the gap is determined by the program selected.

The Taylor L810 features a user-friendly touch-screen, which has been paired with programmable, intuitive software allowing 78 menu items per cooking zone. An external USB port makes it possible to upload new menu and promotional items to the appliance. It also means that menu changes can be seamlessly sent to other sites.

A built-in standby mode can cut appliance energy by up to a claimed 40%, compared to full operation mode. It uses an audible reminder, notifying operators when a platen is idle and should be placed onto standby. The standby mode can quietly bring the grill back up to temperature when required.

Appliance downtime should be minimised by an integrated fault log system, which is said to make troubleshooting easier and help with diagnostics.

The Taylor L810 is a floor-standing appliance measuring 1,524mm high by 1,024mm wide and 986mm deep, and can be powered by two 32A three phase sockets.
