Third Standex employee achieves CFSP accreditation


Standex Food Service Equipment’s National Key Accounts’ Manager, Barnaby Wright, has qualified under the Certified Food Service Professional (CFSP) scheme.

Barnaby received his certificate, marking the achievement, from CESA Chairman, Mick Shaddock, at a special ceremony held on 28 February 2012, during the Hotelympia exhibition at ExCeL, London.

Barnaby follows Standex’s Managing Director, Steve Loughton, and Distributor Sales Manager, Malcolm Morris, in successfully completing the CFSP qualification.

Administered by the Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association, CFSP is the industry specific professional qualification for the UK food service industry.

The scheme’s objective is to improve the levels of professionalism in the sector, through a universally recognised and respected industry standard for knowledge and experience.

CFSP is open to anyone who has three years’, or more, management experience within the food service industry. To achieve the qualification, candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

• Pass a comprehensive written test
• Attend a full day pre-test seminar
• Prove certain levels of experience in the industry
• Show personal development through the completion of recognised education and training programmes
• Demonstrate active involvement within the industry
