Celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala is to open a new restaurant in the early part of next year.
The restaurant, which is based on Lambeth’s Waterloo Road, is called Assado and will serve a range of Portuguese food with an Indian twist.
It will be the third restaurant he has opened, following on from Cafe Spice Namaste and Mr Todiwala’s kitchen at Heathrow Airport.
A spokesperson today called it an “exciting new venture”, but more details aren’t expected to be revealed until the New Year. It is understood the restaurant is hoping to open in February.
Todiwala was awarded an MBE in 2007 and an OBE in 2009.
