Thieves nab catering van from football ground

Surrey Police have issued an appeal for information after a mobile burger van fully equipped with catering equipment was stolen from the ground of Woking FC.

Thieves broke into the premises and stole the mobile catering unit from behind the turnstiles of the football club’s Kingfield ground.

The van is understood to belong to a third party catering company and is worth around £20,000.

Peter Jordan, operations director at Woking FC, told the Surrey Advertiser that the theft was only uncovered when staff opened up the site and noticed the van missing.

“They broke in through the gates and cut the locks and stole the van. It looks like they used a cutter to get through the lock,” he told the paper.
