The Restaurant Show’s organiser, William Reed, has confirmed that the exhibition will not be held this year.

Instead, the hospitality event will return to London’s Olympia on 27-29 September 2021.

William Reed’s MD of events and exhibitions, Andrew Reed, stated: “With the hospitality market effectively closed down due to Covid-19, suppliers and retailers are desperately working where they can to keep their heads above water and prepare for the ‘re-opening’ of business.

“For over 30 years The Restaurant Show has been instrumental in bringing the industry together, however we simply can’t see or feel it is right to proceed with this year’s event and have taken the decision to postpone the show to 2021.”

He continued: “This decision has not been taken lightly but we feel it is important to allow suppliers, restaurants and other areas of the hospitality industry to focus on rebuilding and accelerating their businesses in the months ahead.”

In its place, the company will be delivering a new online initiative during the week that the show would have been held.
