Fast Food Brands (FFS) has added a new brand to its stable by acquiring The Contact Grill Company.
The purchase was formally completed earlier this month and will see the contact grill specialist become an independent brand within the FFS Brands Group.
Clive England, who owned The Contact Grill Company, has moved over to FFS and will continue to manage the brand as key account manager.
He said: “Fast Food Systems is a major supplier and manufacturer of fast food equipment and this acquisition offers major benefits to The Contact Grill Company’s customers and suppliers who will enjoy all the benefits afforded by a much larger organisation.”
England said he would remain the primary contact for dealers wanting information on the company’s range of high-speed contact grills and Panini grills.
It is understood that there are no changes to prices and terms as a result of the acquisition.
Reading-based FFS confirmed the takeover with a statement on its website. It read: “We are pleased to announce that FFS Brands group are joining forces with The Contact Grill Company, bringing an enhanced range of products and services to all our customers.”
FFS Brands specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of quick service restaurant equipment. Its 100-plus range of Vizu equipment is used at sites including cinemas, football grounds and universities.
