TFSE completes makeover of product range

Top Food Service Equipment (TFSE) has fully upgraded its CafeCounter display cabinets for the first time since they were launched four years ago.

Devish Patel, managing director of Surrey-based TFSE, said the selection of off-the-shelf heated and refrigerated cabinets underwent a major redesign to reflect the needs of the market.

“These counters are very popular and very functional but our design team is continually striving to improve our products,” he explained.

“We use high quality components and build our counters to last. Satisfaction surveys are very positive but we have taken note of customer feedback and looked at how they could be developed so they are even better suited to the cafe working environment.”

The CafeCounters range has been optimised to provide more display space and designed without aluminium support sections to ensure the glass front is not obscured.

Energy efficient, LED lighting has also been added to reduce the effects on foodstuff from heat generated by lighting. TFSE claims this extends the shelf life of products on display in refrigerated units.

Additionally, a slot-in shelf system has been conceived that avoids support arms, meaning food debris doesn’t gather and cleaning is easier.

As TFSE makes the equipment at its own UK engineering facility, Patel insists the company can respond to most customer requests.

“CafeCounters are our stock product but the specification can be quite flexible. Customers’ premises all vary and for us to produce a counter to the exact size they require presents no problem,” he said.
