Measurement equipment manufacturer Testo has developed the testo 250 HACCP management system.
This is said to 100% digitally control all measurements, checks and documentation relating to meeting HACCP food safety standards.
The system uses paper-free documentation and supports the guided set-up of a HACCP plan based on the Codex Alimentarius food code.
Operators should be able to trace all quality data on a single device and improve the efficiency of their HACCP processes.
With the testo 250 HACCP Cockpit – the web-based control centre of the system – the quality manager defines the HACCP processes and correction measures, as well as all measurement and checking tasks.
The system also features a control unit for onsite staff to input data. This consists of a ruggedized tablet featuring the testo 250 HACCP Check App, and a temperature probe to take measurements.
There are two compatible probes available: the testo 102-1 – a standard wired plug in probe, and the testo 104IR Bluetooth, an infrared and penetration thermometer connected by Bluetooth.
Measurement values are either input directly or via Bluetooth. If measurement results are critical or limit values are exceeded, the app is designed to pick up on this and provide instructions on corrective measures.
Additionally, documentation using photos, barcode scanning and user and location identification via NFC technology can be implemented.
