Digital controls manufacturer Stoerk-tronic has opened a new office in the UK to support its existing OEM customers and to manage all new temperature control/measurement enquiries.

This is now the firm’s fourth office outside of Germany and is in line with its ambitious growth plans. It currently has offices in Holland, Sweden and France, with its headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany where it designs, manufactures and individually tests all products before they are dispatched.

Stoerk-tronic has been supplying major manufacturers for over 30 years. A privately-owned family business, it produces both high end and entry level digital controllers, serving markets such as the commercial kitchen industry, frying technologies and commercial cooling.

General manager Egon van Trier commented: “With the added value options now for custom branding; Cloud technology; HACCP management and capacitive touch displays with custom hardware and software, many customers are now requesting company visits and new solutions.

“And we simply need an office in the UK to provide this kind of local service and support to our valued customers.”

He added: “Our warehouse in the Netherlands holds stock for all our OEM customers and this enables us to respond instantly should their production increase at short notice – it also gives us further flexibility to serve customers that need a product sending overnight. Orders are shipped within 24 hours as standard and this enables our customers to focus on their production rather than their stock keeping.”

UK sales manager Raymond O’Reilly has been working with OEMs for most of his career and understands the importance of solution sales and providing what the customer needs rather than what is currently available on the shelf.

“Stoerk-tronics’ route to market is dealing direct with OEMs rather than selling through distributors,” he detailed.

“We are able to provide answers or better alternative options if we are involved with a project from the very beginning. Many customers are pleased to see just how advanced the digital controls market has become over the past couple of years and Stoerk-tronic has been leading this field by pioneering Cloud technology via the smartphone and utilising the Internet of Things.”

He continued: “However, despite the desire for manufacturers to have more and more sophisticated control options, we are also involved with just as many really impressive applications using entry level PID controllers and OLED display units that are no bigger than your average credit card.’

“Stoerk-tronics UK offices are strategically based in central England and this makes traveling to see existing customers and OEMs with new enquiries a little bit easier.”
