Taylor UK has expanded its new ventless, automatic fryer range with the addition of Quality Fry’s Fast Chef Elite+ Gourmet.
The countertop unit requires no ventilation and is said to cut energy costs. A self-contained unit, the fryer features the EcoFry system, which is claimed to improve safety, reduce frying time by up to 27% and lower energy use by 24%.
The new version extends the Fast Chef system’s capabilities by offering two cooking modes.
The individual mode allows two 300g portions to be cooked at the same time, while a third one waits in the hopper at the top of the machine. The second cooking mode comes to the fore when larger production is required, making it possible to cook a single 500g portion, with an additional 500g portion being held ready in the hopper.
Both modes are designed to be smokeless and odourless, releasing only dry, odour-free air. The fryer also has an anti-fire system that has control software and a double sensor, and as the frying is carried out in a self-contained chamber staff should be protected from the hot oil.
Made in Spain, the Fast Chef Elite+ Gourmet features a 5” touchscreen control panel that provides the option of eight programmable cooking times and enables machine monitoring.
The self-contained chamber should protect oil from the light and ensure minimal contact is made with oxygen, a process which helps to extend the oil’s lifespan. The system is claimed to reduce oil consumption by 37%, compared to an open fryer, and is designed to extract moisture from the food efficiently, sealing its surface and minimising flavour transfer between batches of different foods.
